Should you weight train in the morning or at night?

A research study from Finland may have the answer to this question. See below for more info.

The researchers had a group of men train for 20 weeks. During the first 10 weeks, everyone trained between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and followed the same training program. During the last 10 weeks, the men were split up into groups and, once again, performed the same workout program as one another. However, one group trained in the morning (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.) while another group trained in the evening (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

The results showed that both groups increased their muscle mass and strength. However, there was no significant difference between each group. That being said, what this study suggests is that it doesn’t matter what time you workout. What matters is that you do workout and do so when you know you’ll have the energy and focus necessary to make the most out of your training plan.

And now you know. :-)
