Preference Versus Conviction

Preference is based on emotion.

Conviction is based on principle.

When you go through life based on your preferences, or what you FEEL like doing, you’re essentially like a feather blowing in the winds of your circumstances and emotions getting nowhere but wherever the winds happen to take you.

When you live by conviction you DECIDE where you want to go, you put your head down, and you march yourself straight there. The winds still blow, but you keep trudging forward whether they are behind you pushing you on or in your face pushing you back because there is absolutely no way you’re going to be stopped.

As you enter this weekend you need to ask yourself, are you convicted or are you just blowing in the wind?
