Overcoming Inertia
Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of rest, or the tendency of an object to resist any change in its motion.
Don’t we all have inertia in our lives?
Either we are stuck in a state of rest on our couch and perpetually talking about getting started or we’ve become so set in our ways that we’re reluctant to change anything despite all evidence that what we’re doing isn’t working.
The truth about inertia though is that it will not change unless it is acted upon by an outside force and that force is CHOICE.
You can accept inaction. You can accept lack of progress. And frankly, your body will be just as content to keep plugging merrily (or not so merrily) on the same path for as long as you’re willing to keep on doing what you’re doing.
Or you can CHOOSE to act differently and that choice will become the external force that causes you to change direction.
The question is, do you really want to change?
