Mistaking The Things We DO For Who We ARE.

I’ve gotten a lot of emails lately where people say things like “I am just not a night time eater” or “I am a failure”.

It is important to note here to not mistake the things we DO for who we are ARE. When we realize that these are things we do instead of things that are a part of us we can CHOOSE to change them.

Instead of not BEING a night time eater (innate), you become someone who doesn’t usually eat at night (action). Hence, you can decide to change that.

Instead of BEING a failure (innate), you can acknowledge that you have failed (action), but that this time will be different.

Your actions are NOT who you are and you are free to change them. It is about CHOICE.
