Giving Bad Advice For Free

“Bad advice offered for free, and with the hope of helping people, is still bad advice, and shouldn’t be allowed to stand just because the person offering it has good intentions.

You want to help people? Great! But do your research, and challenge your own assumptions. Much of the BS in this industry is propagated because most people never think to question their own core beliefs.

(An example that comes to mind: imagine the degree to which the dogmatic faction of the low-carb movement would collapse if it collectively recognized that carbohydrates aren’t the only insulinogenic macronutrient.)” – Ian McCarthy
