Don’t let the number on the scale skew your perception of progress

You say you’re making progress because you can see it, your clothes fit better, other people can see it … but then you wind up still trying to determine your success or failure based on an arbitrary number on a scale. A number, I might add, that can fluctuate crazily for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the amount of fat you have. It’s a data point, nothing more; and it’s a data point that without context is largely useless.
