Do you need to change your lifestyle?

It seems that most people looking to create a better physique would suggest that they’re more interested in creating a new lifestyle than a diet.

However, when it comes down to it, many of those same people essentially expect to continue to live in exactly the same way that they were previously living while simply changing their foods and maybe making room for a couple hours per week to train.

Personally I am very much in favor of trying to match a nutritional plan to the life of a person instead of trying to fit a person to a plan. That should be done as much as is possible.

BUT…there are times in a person’s life where the way that they lived previously is not going to allow them to achieve the things they need to do to reach their goals.

THAT is where, if you want to be successful, the style of your life actually has to change.

This may be include frequent dinners at places where options are limited.

This may include the TV shows you watch that keep you up late and force you to miss your early morning gym sessions.

This may include your job if it makes it fully impossible to live the lifestyle you need to live to be healthy and achieve your goals.

This could include anything that is standing as a barrier to your success.

Now, before anyone gets riled up and starts suggesting that I’m saying that you can’t eat a pizza once in a while, stay up late and watch The Bachelor, or work a demanding job…I am NOT saying that.

What I AM saying is that IF those things limit you from being able to achieve things that you truly value (assuming that health is one of those things)…you may, in fact, need to actually change your life.
