Dietary Recall: If You Eat It, Track It

November 27th, 2013 by

Let’s be honest, we can hardly remember the name of a person we were introduced to five seconds ago let alone trying to remember what we ate for breakfast three days ago.

If you’re tracking/monitoring your food intake make sure you’re not leaving it several days before you attempt to record it in a food log or meal tracking software.

Food recall is notoriously problematic and adding in the fact that you’re doing it from memory increase the chances that you’re not tracking accurately.

Recording your daily intake on the same day is the best way to improve your recall making it much easier to accurately determine your nutritional compliance to your plan.

PS: Your body still tracks your intake on the weekends. So should you.
