A lot of people are guilty of the black-and-white dieting mindset. They’re either 100% on or 100% off.
This is referred to as dichotomous thinking and it has been shown to be one of the most important predictors of weight regain in women undergoing weight loss.
In reality though, it doesn’t have to be this way. If you’re forced into a situation where you’re going to have to eat off plan you can still choose the best option and you can still watch your portions.
It is a choice to allow yourself to think and act this way. Don’t get stuck in the trap.
