Coping With Stress With Food

Comfort from stress through food. I am sure many can relate. But DOES it comfort you?

One can try to eat their way calm, but it doesn’t ever really work. And as a result you eat more and more in order to relieve the stress, when in reality the only real solution is to deal with the true root of the stress instead of trying to drown them with food.

If you use stress as a reason to cheat on diet , which is ultimately yourself, or not be at your best, when does it end? Life stress is a a pretty normal part of life so you either control stress or stress controls you.

Ironically the “stress eating” and the resulting weight gain becomes an entirely new stress in itself, and thus the vicious cycle of emotional eating and weight gain is underway.
