Use fractional plates during training for slight weight increase

Sometimes you just need a wee bit more weight but cant handle a full on increase of a the next increment/plate or dumbbell.

On cable units or units that use pins: you can add a fractional or small plate pinned to it.
Erik taught me that trick years ago and it has really helped when I need to micro load. I see my boys have picked up on it in our home gym too. I find plates pinned to our functional trainer all the time.

For barbells: you can purchase fractional wt plates or even add extra collars or clips to micro load when an increase of 2.5lbs a side is to much especially for upper body work.

Dumbbells: My gym doesnt have the smaller increments on weights and neither does my home gym so i purchased magnetic fractional plates. I have both magnetic and non magnetic ones in my home gym that I will on ocassion carry with me to the gym as well.
