I’ve had a few clients recently ask about my Protein Ice Cream so I thought I’d share it.  This is my ice cone version or the open ‘ice cream sandwiches’. This is immediate serve smooth creamy, no waiting to freeze, “Ice cream”

I have a bottomless pit. I’m a PIGGIE when it comes to food/volume and a I’m* HUGE* Ice Cream fan. My free meals normally include ice cream so it’s no surprise my favorite/only PWO for YEARS is Protein Ice Cream.  I never get tired of it and other than a few rare times, never changed it even though I can have tons of other options with LBC PWO options.

Family party, no problem – It makes a great sub when the family is having ice cream/ cake and i’ve chosen to stay on plan or as an evening sub for my last meal of the day.

My flavor of choice is “Chocolate Mint (Chip)” Protein Ice Cream and Cracker ‘Sandwiches’ or Ice Cream Cones but you can choose/create any flavor combo you want.

The Blender:
I have a Blendtec (got it refurbished on ebay) I know the Vitamix does an excellent job as well. It can be done in the bullet so you’d have to play with the water/ice ratios. It tends to need a bit more water and less ice. That too depends on the size of the ‘cup’

Directions:
-Serving of Protein powder. I use all natural Blue Bonnet Dual Action Whey (my regular) and have used Myofusion.
-1 cup of water
-3 cups of cubes (if using crushed, modify amt)
– 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of xanthum gum some have stomach upset from this so watch that)
-Chocolate Stevia (for flavor not sweetner. this particular stevia isnt very sweet at all which works well ’cause im not once who likes very sweet things). You can use chocolate extract just as well.
-Peppermint extract
-OPTIONS – nuts or cacao chips etc ( depending on your meal / timing and calorie/goals)

Blend until it gets super thick, smooth, creamy with no ice crystals. Consistency is just like soft serve best of all NO waiting to freeze.
