Beliefs Determine Weight Gain

According to a series of studies across five countries on three continents, researchers found that individuals who BELIEVED that obesity was mainly caused by a lack of exercise were more likely to actually be overweight than those who BELIEVED that obesity was mainly caused by a poor diet.

Researchers also discovered that individuals who BELIEVED that insufficient exercise was the primary driver of obesity tended to consume more food which may partially explain the reason for the excess body weight.

The key take home points here are that BELIEF is powerful and what we think in our mind truly does impact our behavior.

And also, if you’re one of those people who are clinging on to hope that you can exercise your way into weight loss, you need to adjust your thinking because even that belief can be the beginning of your failure.

When it comes to fat loss, diet must always be addressed first.
