I can have ice cream on my plan? Yes I can! A couple of weeks ago, I had gone to train at the gym, headed to pick up my kids at the babysitters house and drove straight to Chick-fil-a. I pulled up to the window and ordered myself an ‘ice-dream’ cone. at 170 calories, 4 grams of fat and 31 carbs, it fit perfectly into my meal plan. How sweet is that? I was able to go eat ice cream right after training and still be considered compliant. :D The joys of post-workout….by now you can tell that I love post-workout meals. I probably gave it away from my post about the oreo blizzard I make, or maybe it was the jujubes I blogged about a couple of weeks ago. Or maybe its just the fact that even I still love to get away with what I can and still see results! I love that I have some flexibilty in this meal. Some of you are thinking “I dont have a Chick-fil-a where I live!” No worries ;) McDonald’s small ice cream cone will also fit the bill. The cone comes in at 150 calories, 3.5g fat and 24g carbs. Who would have known? There are also many options at the grocery store to choose from. And what is even better is that my kids love these desserts. With summertime approaching, I am looking forward to enjoying some ice cream with the family.
