Strength does no come from physical capability. It comes from an indomitable will. –Mahatma Gandhi
What do you draw your strength from? We all get stuck in a rut sometimes and there will be seasons of feeling less or more committed for most of us. But what it boils down to is, where does your strength come from when times are tough?
Anyone can diet when they are full, but what about when you are hungry? How about when progress is slow? Are you still motivated to stick to your plan? Sick, injured, family issues, holidays, work stuff, and vacations all come up at some point or another and it is easy to be thrown off the rails.
I have found the easiest way to avoid this is to have something concrete to fall back on. Vision boards, mantra’s, or simply stating your WHY and putting it somewhere you will see it frequently are all examples of places to draw strength and motivation. Surround yourself with supportive people, and make your goals known. Before you know it, the tough spot is in the past and you don’t have to start over because you didn’t ever stop. You may not be perfect, but you can always do something to ensure you are moving forward.
