There are NO quick fixes that will work long term

There are NO quick fixes that will work long term. None. No quick fix can change what is really wrong, your habits and behaviors. If you don’t change, nothing else you do will change you. Your results, successes, failures, and everything else belongs to you. You may not be able to control everything that happens in every situation, but you can control A LOT, including how you talk to yourself. You will believe whatever you think. If you think you are doomed, you are. If you think you can’t do better, your right. Don’t bother with change, not if you don’t believe you can.

But you know that isn’t the case, you know you can do better. The quick fix is a big cop out and nothing comes free. Everything comes with a cost. Quick fixes generally come at the cost of either your health, or your wallet, or both. Sometimes more than that. Sometimes they cost your self-worth, your ability to believe in yourself to do what is hard but right. If you are always falling for what is easy, then the hard work (that it really takes) will seem impossible.

When you use quick fixes for losing weight, this is especially hard. Because not only will you gain back whatever you lost, but you will likely gain some extra. Guess what that means? Future attempts at fat loss are going to be even harder. Trust me when I say this. No amount of cabbage soup, MLM shakes, patches, pills, potions, or whatever BS is being thrown at you, will make lasting changes. You get to do that. Isn’t that great? You and you alone get to be responsible for your success.

Why is that exciting? Because you can quit looking for the next magic fix and get to work. Get real with yourself, and start improving today. Start making little changes, and eventually they become your new normal. Build on that, and you will see how quickly your mindset changes.
