Reminder: “dieting” (which is simply meant here to mean a fat-loss goal/eating in a caloric deficit) is a choice.

If you frequently complain about how you can’t go out to eat with friends, or you can’t partake in social functions because you’re “dieting”, keep in mind that dieting is a CHOICE. No one is making you diet or follow a plan. This is something you have chosen for yourself because you have a goal that you are trying to achieve.

You CAN go out to eat with friends, you just choose not to because your current goals are more important.

Or if you do choose to go out or attend social functions, you CAN do so while staying on plan … if you WANT to. Of it you don’t want to, you don’t have to. See how that works?

You retain the Power of Choice.

You can do whatever you want, provided you are also accepting of the outcome/consequences/results of those choices.

It really comes down to what is most important to you in the moment.

If your goals take priority, then you need to understand there will be some sacrifice that goes into achieving them. Anything worth achieving is going to require some degree of sacrifice. There is always a cost associated with success and not everyone is willing to pay it?

Are you?
