I feel like we live in a world of now. Everyone seems to think that they are owed something and compare what they have to others. I know a lot of this is human nature, but realizing how destructive it is can sure make life easier. We can’t change what we don’t recognize as problem.

Lets talk entitlement.

You are not entitled to progress like your friend, your neighbor, the fitspo meme, or that competitor you follow.
You are not entitled to their genetics, metabolism, body type, structure.

You are entitled to make your own choices. This includes, but is not limited to… Setting your own goals, being compliant to your plan to reach those goals, not being compliant, complaining about it, not complaining about it.

If you want to be average that is fine, nothing wrong with it. The way to do that is to make average choices. If you want more, then I want that for you too. I just want you to be happy. If you choose more, I will push you to do more. It will be uncomfortable at times, just like any other goal worth reaching. You will have to sacrifice and struggle, but ultimately it is your decisions and behaviors that you can control. You aren’t entitled to fast sustainable results and a gifted physique. You can work toward a goal, and your effort determines where you end up. If it were easy, you would already have it, and you probably would even want it.

You against you.
