Let’s chat about balance.

I’m pretty sure my morning coffee game is better than most lol. Of course I didn’t do this (I lack milk steaming skills), my son did. He is all about quality espresso and takes the time learn, source the beans, and make me a cappuccino almost every day. The art is just part of what makes it special. When calories get cut, I don’t cut out my favorite treat. I can give up just about anything food wise, but this is part of my ritual. It matters to me. Not only because I love coffee, but the very action of receiving this special gift of his talent daily is something I won’t get to have forever in my home.

I would much rather give up a few grams of food from somewhere else in order to keep this. And guess what? It won’t stop me from having progress. My calories at the end of the day remain the same regardless of eating chicken or having this.

Does that mean that I can give up all of my goal supporting foods for treats? Of course not. And if I did, I can expect to make less progress. Health still matters along side your daily numbers if you want to look and perform your best.

I hear people all the time wanting to cut out creamers and learn to drink coffee black because they think the have to. But unless you are so light that you literally have no where else to pull from, you are going to fine with some milk or creamer calories in your diet. This lifestyle is much more enjoyable when you get to keep the things you like to eat. Sacrifice doesn’t have to equate to punishment.

Isn’t it pretty? It never fails to make me happy.
