It’s ok to not know what you’re doing in the gym as a beginner

Many of my beginner clients are intimidated by the gym, the lifters, the equipment. The weight room can be a scary place at first. It’s easy to do things wrong. Those of us who have been going for years have certainly seen some interesting use of equipment and have made some silly errors ourselves. Hey, we all have to start somewhere!

Get in there, and own your space. Chances are, you won’t do everything right the first time. Even advanced lifters are always learning. Training is a skill, you have to work on it to become better. Don’t let fear of looking stupid get in your way of reaching your goals. Most of us are here to help and cheer you on. Anyone who isn’t, doesn’t deserve a second of you time or energy anyway.
