Homemade Gluten-Free Bread

March 15th, 2017 by

I made gluten-free bread today. I’ve never made bread before so I wasn’t too sure how it would turn out. I was suspecting a disaster, but it turned out pretty good. To make it, you need the following ingredients:

2 1/2 cups President’s Choice Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
3 whole eggs
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon agave syrup
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
5g coconut oil

With the exception of the coconut oil, I poured everything above into a bowl and mixed it by hand. I didn’t have a large bread pan, but I had a mini-loaf pan. So I greased the pan with the coconut oil and made two loaves. Then I baked it at 300F for 40 minutes.

When it came out I tried a slice and was pleasantly surprised. That said, if you’re curious about the calories and macros, then the entire mixture provided about 1020 k/cal with 24g of protein, 187g of carbs and about 20 g of fat. Obviously, the way you slice it is going to influence the the calories and macros per serving, but I can’t tell you how nice it was to eat warm bread again. :-)

Enjoy!
