Fat loss is like swimming upstream in a raging river

I’ve always likened fat loss to swimming upstream in a raging river.

The current of the “river” of our society is sweeping us towards weight gain over time. So if you want to lose fat, you’re doing to need to swim upstream against that current.

Over time you may become a better swimmer so swimming may become easier but, at the end of the day, you always have to keep swimming.

If you’re doing something extreme that isn’t going to be sustainable beyond 8, 10, or 12 weeks, you’re going to stop “swimming” and be swept right back to where you started.

When you start a plan, make sure that you pick something that you’re going to be able to do forever.

Extreme methods will always put you right back on track to where you started…or worse.
