However.... and there is ALWAYS a however...
However... I just went with my gut and ended up back at two different gyms working around the calf injury. One gym has a Concept 2 Rower, which I was able to row with one leg until the other one was good enough to throw up there as well... and the other gym was a CrossFit gym. Hey I can do pullups like nobody's business.
After finding out that I tore my calf and hobbling around on crutches for a few days.. then dragging my foot behind me for a week or two... and putting myself on a liquid diet to offset the four day drunken binge I went on.. all is right with the world. When I say drunk... I mean carb drunk. It's a fact that I literally get drunk from abusing food. It's a tactic that I sometimes use to take care of myself when crap hits the fan. Not a very useful one.. but hey.. it could be worse.
And the Glory goes to God... for giving me the will to persevere. And the big thanks goes to Erik for taking me back and supporting me no matter what idiotic thing I had to do. (did I mention I put myself on a liquid diet?)
Anyway... the liquid diet only lasted a few weeks, then when I realized I may have a chance to get back in the show, I immediately incorporated healthy solid meals once again.
So tonight was my first night up on heels. My calf is not completely healed, but with the pain that is simply caused from walking in 5 inch heels... I didn't even notice the calf.
I think it was when Erik called me a "perfectionist'... that got my rebellious spirit going. I don't like to be called names or put into boxes. I certainly don't like to be called a perfectionist... so I set out to overcome that image. (something only a perfectionist would do by the way) lol
I prefer things go the way I like... of course, but you know what? I am living this one life of mine and not waiting until the stars align. The time is now. Now is my time. Whatever happens I am going to roll with it... but one thing is for certain:
I am going to Dallas. I am going there to have the time of my life. I am going to Dallas to celebrate the amazing journey I have been on. I am also going there to compete for the win! Not long now.. only 10 days out!
Cheers!!!!
