I stole that saying from somewhere. It's true.

In life there are negatives and positives. Always and with everything. It is our choice with everything to decide how we want to live. In this sense we become the creators of our reality.

That is why with this prep...  I can only see good. I can only see benefit. There are negatives of course and I could make a laundry list for you. However, why would I want to? If I did that, I would be missing out on the even longer laundry list of positives.

This prep has been about continually disciplining my mind to focus on my wonderful life and what it is rather than what it is not. It's amazing. I can't believe how fortunate I am to get the opportunity to play this gig in life.

Every prep has been different and all have been learning experiences and opportunities for growth.

My main goal was to have a smooth transition to an off season. Basically I wanted a fitness lifestyle, not just a competition here or there interespersed with sluggish doldroms and overindulgence.

I found the best way to achieve what it is that I originally set out to do is to find a group of supportive individuals who have similar goals. People that are on similar paths.

I have gone against the grain in prior preps. I have stayed in an enviroment that was not supportive and I survived. I prevailed despite. It was a challenge and a half just to keep my guard up and to resist the negativity being continually hurled my way.

This time however, I say no thank you.. and moved on and found a great group that is supportive and like minded. Instead of trying to knock others down so they can remain stagnant..  this new group of people are uplifting and want for me what I want for myself. They want me to inspire and to share my passion. It has made a world of difference.

Those people existed all along... they were out there. I just had to be open, ready and willing to find them. I had to let my guard down and be ready to share.

Today I am closer than ever to the fitness lifestyle I originally imagined for myself...  I can see myself residing here from now on. Forever.
