Nearly 40 lbs And A 2nd Place Trophy

More congratulations are in order.

After dropping just short of 40 lbs, LBC client Kendra Warren, competed in her first ever competition, opting for the Bikini category at this year's Battle at the River Bodybuilding, Figure and Bikini Championships, in Chatanooga, TN.

Yep, 40 lbs!!



Kendra went on to place 2nd in a class of 12 girls. I think the bug might have bitten her as she's off to another Bikini competition next week, with plans to transition into Figure later this year.

11-Week Booty Transformation

The following is a pictorial representation of the progress a client of mine has made in one specific area that every girl wants to see great progress in - the booty!

She is just a short time out from her first contest of the season (so we're not done yet) and when looking through this week's progress pictures, I suddenly felt the need to go back to look at the first set to compare the one area that really stood out in terms of visual change. The Glutes!

I cropped everything else out to draw all attention to the glutes. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

LBC Contest Prep Testimonial

I pulled this short quote (after asking for permission), which doubles as a testimonial (although it wasn't written as one - just a casual journal post), from a client's journal on the Lean Bodies Fitness forums. Incidentally, this is Lisa Anderson, who won her first show of the season a couple weeks ago.

As of today, she's just a few short days away from show #2 of the season. Speaking of which, her evening update email that I just received a a little while ago said:

Metabolic Mind Games!!

I had a light bulb moment a few weeks ago while having a discussion with a client. We were discussing metabolic damage and how much more common this is becoming these days in female competitor circles. Well, figure has been around for about seven years now and really popular for let's say, the last four or five. Let's also add in the fact that the 'standard/common' contest dieting practice is very large amounts of cardio, very low calories and in some cases, very low, or no, carbs.
